Automatically posting content to a Google Spreadsheet — Another favorite Recipe on IFTTT (If This, Then That)

IFTTT is a great service to automate many different tasks that you want to “just happen” in the background, based on other tasks that you perform in your everyday routine.

The above “Recipe” is one of my favorites. Whenever I receive an email containing a specific phrase, term, etc., it is automatically accumulated in a Google Spreadsheet.

One of my favorite examples is when I “Learn Something New”. I will send myself and email with “#learnedsomethingnew” in the description. This will cause the IFTTT recipe to be invoked and a line containing the contents of that email gets added to the spreadsheet.

Get comfortable with IFTTT and you will find many more recipes that will become useful for you!
