Sometimes, you just want a permanent copy of a web page article. When I do, I create a PDF.

It’s handy if you want to annotate (mark up), share with others, or keep permanently. And it’s easy to do right on your iPhone — here’s how.

Install the Bookmarklet

Don’t be intimidated. Go to printfriendly.com and follow the instructions.

Just follow the instructions — save in your Favorites on the iPhone Safari Browser page

Go Create an Article!

Here’s how, step by step:

Here’s an article I want to convert to a PDF.

See an article you want? Let’s save this to PDF!

Just tap “Favorites” and select the PrintFriendly PDF bookmark (or whatever you named it!).

Select PrintFriendly PDF Bookmark

The process starts → tap the “PDF” icon to create the PDF.

Tap “Download Your PDF” to open the PDF Safari

Here’s your PDF. NOTE — this is NOT on your device yet. You are viewing the PDF in the Safari browser!

View of created PDF in your Safari Web Browser
Tap screen to bring up Floating menu

Select where you want the PDF to be saved — many different apps can handle the PDF format (iBooks, your PDF management apps, Evernote, Cloud storage, etc.). I will save to Evernote.

Save created PDF to Evernote service (then I can access from anywhere!)

Name the note that you are posting to Evernote.

Open the note in Evernote. There is PDF document.
