iPad & iPhone Tip — Sharing #PDFs From The Goodreader App
Document Management From Your #iOS Devices

My favorite mobile document management app is GoodReader (iOS App Store Link)— I am coming up on 8 years of using this app!
Here’s a quick tip on sharing a PDF document via the app and “flattening” annotations (always do this if the recipient doesn’t need to make changes — for instance if you sign a document and are forwarding it along).
Here’s How to Mail a PDF
1 — Open the PDF in GoodReader
The steps below show the “floating menu” in an active state. This is “activated” by tapping the center of the screen (tapping screen will toggle menu ON and OFF — FYI).

2 — Tap the Share Button at Bottom of Screen
An “select action” menu will appear. Select the option you want — in my case, I want to email the PDF.
Note: if you have made extensive annotations to the document, you may want to select “E-Mail File + Summary”. This will send a recap of all annotations made to the document along with the document. It is very helpful in the right situation!

3 — Flatten Annotations, if necessary
You generally want to flatten annotations (this makes your markups a part of the document — versus a separate “layer”). This will make certain that the recipient can “see” the annotations on the document. If you don’t do this, depending on how the recipient views the PDF, they may not be displayed.

4 — Send the Document
That’s it. The recipient will receive your document via email.
