#AskGaryVee: Brutual (but necessary) Message — “The Ultimate Advice for Every 20 Year Old”
Perspective and Expectations Are Everything!
I was motivated to put this together for my son, Alex, and daughter, Kristin. I hope that they watch and embrace the message Gary Vaynerchuk drives home here!
“Gary Vaynerchuk is a serial entrepreneur and the CEO and founder of VaynerMedia, a full-service digital agency servicing Fortune 500 clients across the company’s 5 locations. Gary is also a prolific public speaker, venture capitalist, 4-time New York Times Bestselling Author, and has been named to both Crain’s and Fortune’s 40 Under 40 lists.” — YouTube Channel
For anyone not aware of Gary Vaynerchuk, I highly recommend engaging with his content! His message is direct, blunt, and may not be what you WANT to hear — but likely a message many NEED to hear.
- WARNING — his language is rough, which detracts from his message. Listen for the message!
“Unfortunately this call is something many 20 year olds needs to hear, in fact many people of all ages, watch as we go deep and really “go there””
#1 — Macro and Micro View (0:35)
Take the long view and put in the work — EVERYDAY!
Such an important message in everything we undertake — building a business, improving our skills, growing in our careers, etc.
#2 — Perspective and Expectations Reality Check (4:01)
In this clip, Gary emphasizes being realistic in your perspective and practical in the expectations of what you can accomplish in your time frame. He touches on:
- What pressure is felt?
- What’s the rush?
- Perception of what you see in others? And the reality of that.
- Stop looking at your friends s***!
#3 — Patience and Process (1:26)
#4 — “I’m A Millionaire by 25” And More PROCESS! (2:12)
#5 — “You Can Trick Losers” (1:03)
#6— “Everyone’s Watching” (1:22)
Bill Tomoff, Olivia Tomoff — I think you both will enjoy this as well!
